Karuna Priya
I spent 15 years as a Buddhist monk in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Thailand before moving to London in 2009. Those years shaped everything I teach, not as theory but as a way of living I still practice every day.
Today I serve as a Chaplain and Buddhist Faith-Advisor at Imperial College London and the Royal College of Arts. I also hold a Masters in Buddhist Studies from SOAS, University of London. But honestly, the most valuable things I bring to my teaching came from sitting with teachers, sitting in silence, and slowly learning how to be with whatever arises.
My approach is simple: meet each person where they are. No fixed programme, no one-size-fits-all, just honest guidance rooted in practice.

I write when something feels worth sharing. A question that came up in practice, a moment that stayed with me, something a student asked that I couldn't quite answer. These are not polished essays. They're honest reflections from a life spent paying attention.
If any of it speaks to you, read it slowly. There's no rush.
